If you are scared of heights, this one isn’t for you. However, perhaps exceptions can be made considering the stunning views you get, wherever you look!

What is in Luxor?

Hot Air Ballooning in Luxor takes you over the ruins of huge temple complexes, and with the River Nile winding through both the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, you get an impression of how it once was.

Once known as ‘Thebes’ in ancient Egypt, it is home to the oldest and most Ancient Egyptian sites.   The city grew from a small village to being a hub of health, taking on a mantle of high importance in Egypt and also on a global stage.  Despite the time past, discoveries are still being made everyday, which continue to shed greater light on the ancient civilization.

This can be done throughout the day, but we found the best time to do it was early morning. As the tour takes you over the major landmarks, the early morning sun adds something just a bit special to the experience.  Having the selfie stick with us, provided the most amazing selfies!

The highlight was the great temples and tombs from the valley of the Kings.  Seeing King Tutankhamun was insane!

The tour picks you up from your hotel and lasts 3 hours in total. The total flight time is 45 minutes.
