Staying A Night On The San Blas

Here are some pictures from my trip to the San Blas Islands

The San Blas are the paradise islands located just off the northern coast of Panama.  Staying with the local indigenous people gave us not only a taste of their culture, but also a taste of their food! These beautiful islands allowed for a very relaxing two days.  We organised the trip through our hostel in Panama City. Cacique Cruiser provide trips for visitors to  Luna’s Castle  They are super helpful and will help you through everything.

Staying a night on the San Blas offers something for everyone.  If you fancy just chilling on the beach you just do that, but if you want something more active, there are loads of activities to do on the islands, from snorkelling in the crystal clear waters to playing volleyball with all the new the new people you meet.

Take a look at some pictures from my time there a few years ago.

Here is the cabin we stayed in

Staying a night on the Sun Blas means you’ll stay in a cabin like this one.  Don’t expect amazing accommodation, but then again you aren’t there for that

The water is so amazing for snorkelling. Apart from the clear waters there is also really cool stuff to see. A barracuda was spotted whilst snorkelling around a shipwreck just off the shore of Dog's Island.

How Much Does The Trip Cost?

The trip that I went on cost $157 per guest for 2 days/ 1 night in dorm hut accommodations. The activities are mainly snorkelling, volleyball, paddling a traditional canoe.

Other than that is is still very simple and relaxed. They also now offer hammocks for each guest to use as well.
